Gerkros wins Overall SFA National Small Business Award '07

Gerkros Heating Technology have won the Overall Award at the SFA National Small Business Awards '07 which were held at a gala banquet in the Mansion House on Wednesday evening, 21st March. Gerkros were also the award winner in their category - Manufacturing.

Gerkros have been pioneers in the design and manufacture of domestic boilers for over 30 years. Now Gerkros adds to its list of firsts by becoming the first Irish manufacturer of wood pellet boilers. The Gerkros Woodpecker is the culmination of extensive research and development and combines all the features of conventional heat exchangers.

Clay Roof Tiles

LBS are proud to announce a partnership with Sandtoft to distribute its range of clay tiles throughout Ireland .

The LBS range of clay tiles offer a natural alternative to a slate roof, and bring warmth and character to the appearance of a building. They are available in a wide variety of permanent colours and textures which over time will weather and mellow, but never fade.

Clay roof tiles have been used in Ireland for generations. They are part of the country's architectural heritage and add beauty to the built environment.

LBS offers a comprehensive range of clay roof tiles from around the world in varying profiles and formats, to suit any high-end project.

The Sandtoft 'new generation' range of clay tiles include the Cassius and Olympus (large format clay tiles), in addition to the 20/20 (smaller format interlocking clay tile).

Copper Ridge Systems

LBS are also proud to announce a partnership with Copper Ridge Systems (based in Northern Ireland ) to distribute its range of copper ridge and roofing accessory products to the Irish market.

Copper is the ultimate accessory product for slate roofs and, along with its aesthetic advantages, it also performs the practical function of cleaning and maintaining the roof.

One problem facing slate roofs is the build-up of moss and lichens over time. When rain water interacts with copper it releases copper sulphate which washes down the roof and removes unwanted growth, keeping the roof clean. Copper ridge tiles are also available with a ventilated dry ridge fixing system to provide high level ventilation.
